This is not a ‘once upon a time story’ for kids but that of teenagers in modern times. We will talk of teenagers and those who have the teenage spirit- a spirit of courage and adventure combined with a fertile imagination that weaves childhood and adulthood into the beautiful carpet of dreams, ambition, freedom and progress.

It was almost time for the terrorists to come and they all went inside and waited with the Kumars in the drawing room which had a large window opening into the lawn.

         “I hope it’s not dangerous,” said Mr. Kumar, “I mean if they start shooting, we’ll be directly in the line of fire.”

         “No weapon on earth can pass through (the thought screen),” Sona was so confident Mr. Kumar thought it better not to speak but, to be on the safe side, moved towards the other end of the room.

         “They can fly!” Rumina shouted as she saw one of the capris fly up in the air to catch the big ball called ‘grip’ they had to catch and put through the goalposts to score.

         “Even the teeners can fly!” It was Ray who shouted this time.

         “Most of our players wear whoosh-shoes and so can fly,” explained Anna.

                “…Rumina had already rushed up the lowest branch and the cat, bending down, had touched her. As soon as she touched her, Rumina started mewing like a cat. Surprised at her own voice, she started crying but even that sounded like a kitten crying.”

The black cat moved its tail up and, looking angrily at the trio, lifted one of its forepaws. An electric current zapped the shield which Ray had been quick enough to put in front of Rumina who was in the lead.  Scared, she came behind but her cousin, being emboldened by his success, took out his mummifier and turned one of the two monkey-cats into a mummy. This annoyed the Evil One even more…
